Sexual Assault, Relationship Violence Focus of Two-Day Summit at Tennessee State University

Tennessee State University President Glenda Glover Tuesday welcomed more than 400 representatives from 76 universities, colleges and organizations across the state to a two-day summit on campus sexual assault. The summit, featuring national experts on sexual assault prevention and complying with changing federal laws, includes customized tracks for campus police, student support services providers, and Title IX investigators.

Tennessee State University to Host Inaugural Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic

The Tennessee State University women’s basketball team will host the inaugural Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic in the Gentry Center on Nov. 29-30. Named after TSU Director of Athletics and former head women’s basketball coach Teresa L. Phillips, the tournament will feature four teams from across the country, including Youngstown State, Nicholls State, Norfolk State and host TSU.

TSU Welcomes Colombian Students for Weeklong Musical Activities, Jefferson Street Jazz Festival

Eighteen music students from Colombia will visit Tennessee State University June 20 as part of an exchange program with the South American nation. In partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, the Colombian capital, and the Office of the Governor in Cartagena, Bolivar Province, the exchange agreement is part of an effort to promote the University and its academic programs.
